I love cooking (even though I'm a complete tornado in the kitchen) and I'm a bit of a science geek. I’m particularly interested in inflammation and how it effects the entire body. Although my specialty is digestive health (check it out: For A Digestive Peace of Mind), this blog is more about living a healthy, happy life. You know… eating your berries buuuut enjoying that bubbly too *clink*
I'm a true believer in eating whole foods and nourishing your body every day. But I also believe in living your life and embracing how sometimes life and your diet aren’t perfect. As a nerdy dietitian, I try to help us all figure out a balance between the two. So yes, I always encourage the kale and quinoa bowls. But I believe in cake on your birthday too (and drinking champagne at 10 a.m. because its your sister's wedding… or a snow day!)
We live in a busy, stressful culture. It’s an effort to take care of yourself through food, exercise, and relaxation. Lets do it together—and hopefully enjoy the ride!
